Currently, there are 15D per strand, or even 20D per strand. The fewer the theoretical strands, the better the evenness of the strand. Due to the reduced chance of overlapping forms, the production solution DMAC for dry spinning is harmful to the human liver. Generally, 10D per strand contains a controlled concentration of 0.5mg/kg, while 15D per strand contains 0.7mg/kg, exceeding the standard. When producing Spandex, special attention should be paid to coiling tension, number of pieces on the cylinder, breaking strength, elongation at break, formability, oil adhesion, elastic recovery rate, etc. These issues directly affect weaving, especially when producing single sided fabrics

Test Method

Boiling Water Shrinkage Test

(1) Take four spandex samples, remove the surface layer, and then take three paragraphs each with a length of 10cm and mark the distance with a color pen.

(2) Place the sample in boiling water (100 ℃) for 10 minutes, then take it out and hang it dry at room temperature. After 5 minutes, measure its length after shrinkage (3) Calculate the boiling water shrinkage rate based on the difference between before and after boiling water, with a standard rate of 10-15% Boiling water shrinkage rate (%)=(10cm test length)/10 × 100%

Conclusion: The boiling water shrinkage rate exceeds 10-15%, indicating poor stability of spandex

Elasticity test of spandex

(1) Take four spandex samples, remove the surface layer, and then take three paragraphs each with a length of 10cm, and mark the distance with a color pen.

(2) Connect the head and tail of the sample and test it on a single yarn strength machine, stretching at a speed of 50cm/min (3) Firstly, stretch the sample by 100%, 150%, 200%, 250%, and 300% for three times, and then calculate its tensile stress (cn) and elastic recovery rate for the fourth time.
