Physical performance test
Thickness: Check whether the thickness of cotton cloth meets the standard, which will affect its use and texture.
Density: Including warp and weft density, reflecting the tightness of cotton cloth.
Yarn count: Determines the thickness of the yarn, which has an important impact on the quality of cotton cloth.
Tensile strength: Measures the maximum force that cotton cloth can withstand when stretched, used to evaluate durability.

Chemical performance test

Testing standards

National Standard
GB/T 406 - 2008 "Cotton Plain Fabric": specifies the product varieties, specifications, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, markings, packaging, etc. of cotton plain fabric. In terms of technical requirements, it covers indicators such as fabric organization, width, density, breaking strength, etc., which is the basic basis for the quality inspection of cotton plain fabric.

Industry Standard
FZ/T 13007 - 2012 "Yarn-dyed Cotton Fabric": For yarn-dyed cotton fabric, it clarifies the classification, requirements (including appearance quality and internal quality), test methods, inspection rules, etc. of the product. Among them, the internal quality involves key indicators such as color fastness and shrinkage, and the appearance quality includes requirements for fabric defects.

International Standard (such as ISO)
ISO 139 - 2005 "Textiles - Standard Atmosphere for Humidification and Testing": Although it is not specifically for cotton fabric, it is very important to control the temperature and humidity of the test environment during the cotton fabric testing process. This standard specifies the standard atmospheric conditions for textiles when conducting physical and mechanical property tests to ensure the accuracy and comparability of the test results.
