The national standards for "Down and Feather" and "Down and Feather Inspection Methods" in China have been revised and implemented on May 1, 2004. The new national standard has added regulations on microbial detection methods and limit indicators for down. The current inspection standards for down clothing in China determine the quality of down clothing from two aspects: first, down quality, and second, clothing quality&Nbsp p>
(1) Quality Standards for Down p>
① Fleece content (including the index of duck down in goose down): For example, 80% gray duck down refers to 80% of 100 grams of plush, with the remaining 20 grams being plush pieces that meet the specifications&Nbsp p> ② Fluffiness: The difference in fluffiness directly affects the warmth retention of down jackets and products&Nbsp p> ③ Oxygen consumption index: The oxygen consumption index of down refers to the milligrams of oxygen consumed during oxidation of the reducing substances contained in 100 grams of plush under certain conditions. If the oxygen consumption index is ≤ 10, it is qualified. If it exceeds the standard, it indicates that the down washing process is not standardized enough, which can cause bacterial proliferation and be detrimental to human health&Nbsp p> ④ Cleanliness: Using water as a carrier, the small dust particles contained in the plush are shaken and transferred into water. These small dust particles are suspended in the water, and then the transparency of the water quality is measured using an instrument to determine the cleanliness of the down. If the cleanliness is ≥ 350mm, it is considered qualified. If the index requirements are not met, it indicates that there are many impurities in the down, which can easily cause various bacteria to adsorb in the down, and also have adverse effects on human health&Nbsp p> ⑤ Moisture content p> ⑥ Odor level: Three out of five inspectors with the same opinions are considered as the odor evaluation results. If the odor exceeds the standard indicators, it indicates that there is a problem with washing during the water washed down processing. The down jacket is prone to deterioration during wearing and storage, which affects the environment and human health p>
(2) Apparel quality
p> ① Fabric quality: including fiber identification of clothing surface accessories, fabric appearance inspection, safety performance and functionality of the fabric&Nbsp p> ② Process quality: including clothing sewing quality, clothing bonding quality, and clothing ironing quality&Nbsp p> ③ Apparel appearance quality: no stains, no color difference, symmetrical left and right, flat leader, and no manufacturing defects.
