What is REACH p> REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals) is an EU regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 on the registration, evaluation, and authorization of chemicals. This regulation officially came into effect on June 1, 2007 in the European Union and came into effect on June 1, 2008. This regulation has put forward the latest requirements for many industries, including the electronics industry, and has had a profound impact on various industries p>
REACH is the abbreviation of the EU regulation "Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals", with the regulation number (EC) No 1907/2006. This regulation is a chemical regulatory system established by the European Union and implemented from June 1, 2007 p>
The REACH directive requires that chemicals imported and produced within Europe must go through a comprehensive set of procedures such as registration, evaluation, authorization, and restriction, and be fully implemented by the European Chemicals Administration. This regulation establishes a massive chemical management system, implementing supply chain information transmission and tracking supervision for chemical manufacturers, importers, and users, in order to reduce the use of harmful chemicals and protect human health and environmental safety p>
REACH regulations also provide strong evidence and documentation in imposing comprehensive obligations on manufacturers, formulators, and users of chemicals in trade and industry, with the aim of improving safety for humans and the environment in the event of adverse effects from the use of chemicals.
. REACH regulations mainly manage the registration, evaluation, licensing, and restrictions of over 30000 chemicals and their downstream products such as textiles, light industry, and pharmaceuticals. It will replace more than 40 existing EU directives and regulations related to chemicals, covering a wide range of aspects p>
If the SVHC content in an item is greater than 0.1% (W/W), the enterprise needs to provide relevant information about this series of substances to consumers within 45 days. Since October 2008, the first batch of SVHC candidate substances have been included in the authorized nomination list by ECHA. As of now, the list of SCHCs has been expanded multiple times and new substances will continue to be included in the nomination list p>

REACH program
1. Registration
by the chemical manufacturerImporters have access to relevant information about the substances in the chemicals produced or imported, and use this information to manage the use and safety of the chemicals. Registration must be submitted to the European Chemical Administration (ECHA) by natural or legal persons within the EU and the "sole representative" of foreign manufacturers within the EU. Chemicals that meet the following conditions need to be registered:
The substance content is greater than 1 ton/year p> The amount of substances that can be released from the item is greater than 1 ton/year p>
2. Evaluation
ECHA evaluates the technical dossier and substance of the submitted registration application.
p>3. Authorization
The use of Class 1 and 2 carcinogens, reproductive toxic substances, and persistent and highly persistent bioaccumulative toxic substances requires authorization.
p>4. Restrictions
The implementation of regulations will unify the management of hazardous chemical substances on the EU market, and these hazardous chemical substances will be included in Appendix XVII of the REACH regulation. As of now, the restricted substances in Appendix XVII have reached 63 categories p>
